On what was a historic afternoon for the sirens playing in their first ever league game Hartlepool kicked off and shot everything including the kitchen sink at Redcar for the first 10 minutes but the sirens held out. What happened next caught everyone by surprise, some incredible rugby seen the sirens storm into a 38-0 lead with trys from Bryce, Johnson, Mcmahon, Atkinson and a brace from Harston plus 4 conversions from Bryce. In the second half poor discipline and fatigue allowed hartlepool to gain a foothold with their strong ball carriers to score 24 unanswered points.
