Redcar made it two wins and two losses in the Durham County Festival at Barnard Castle School on Sunday.

The first match being against Darlington and time for us to warm up to the challenge that lay ahead of us. But once we got fired up we made our mark with a first game win, 15 points to 10. We followed that up with another win over Hartlepool 25 points to 10, with a extract special performance from Boca.

Our third game was against Billingham and a chance to exact some revenge for previous defeats, but after a sterling performance from the Banshees today was not to be the day for this as we lost 25 points to 5.

Our last game, after a nice rest, was against Houghton and our chance to end the day on a high. But, although we dominated the game we were caught sleeping on the job and lost 20 points to 0, a game some might say we gave them.

All in all a good day and the girls enjoyed the day of rugby, but special mentioned needs to go out to Killer being her first game and an exceptional one at that. Also, Grace for getting Redcar player of the festival and Alex for doing an excellent job of captaining the team for the day.
