After an improved match performance but a loss against Blyth in DN2, Redcar will be looking to bounce back at the weekend in a game against a vitalised Winlaton Vulcans.
Head Coach Ben Durrans commented about last week’s match, “While our performance improved, we weren’t clinical enough when it came to converting our efforts into points. A few of our game play decisions maybe game back to bite us and we came away with a loss” Durrans added “While we beat Wallsend 60+ points the week before, our performance didn’t match the score line, last week we saw a drastic improvement in our performance, but couldn’t finish”
The Seasiders won’t be taking things lightly against Winlaton, the last time these two teams met, Redcar had a sluggish start to the game and Winlaton certainly capitalised, coming away with the win by 3 points. Redcar see the welcome return of father and son duo Allan and Josh Dixon, Prop Anth Coulson returns from holiday while James Cochrane makes his first start since injury last season and Rob Bryce returns at full back after two weeks on the injury list.
