After a poor start to the season after last weeks 24-0 loss to Old Rishworthians in the Yorkshire Shield, Redcar will be looking to turn things around in D&N2 when they play Wallsend.
“Fingers crossed last week was a blip, it has been a long time since Redcar have come away from a game without getting any points on the board” said new Chairman of Rugby Chris White. White added “We lost Rob Bryce in the warm up, which is a massive loss, he scores tries and is one of our big playmakers”
Redcar did see a glimmer of light last week. Young Jake Duddles played a blinder at 10 and Mariners 9, Sean Condell did a brilliant job stepping up when needed, not missing a beat.
Only a few changes from last weeks’ team, Brian Forman comes back into the side at 12, while Andy Little moves from 8 to tight head prop. A returning Shane Hurley complete the Redcar pack, with Mariners 8 Mark Harrison comes in to the pack in the second row.
